Your privacy
What you share stays between you and your doula.
This is the plain-language version — no fine print. It explains what this portal holds, who can see it, and the control you have.
Who can see your information
Only you and your doula. Your intake answers, visit notes, messages, documents, and anything you save in the tools live in your private portal. No other clients can see your information, and we never sell it or share it with advertisers or third parties.
What you choose to share
Some tools are just for you. A mood check-in, for example, is private unless you tick “Share with [your doula]” — if you keep it private, she can’t see it. You can use the portal to track things for yourself without anyone watching over your shoulder.
How it’s kept
Your data is stored in a secure, access-controlled database and sent over an encrypted connection. Sign-in is by magic link — there’s no password to leak. Files you upload are kept in private storage, reachable only through time-limited links.
Your control
It’s your information. If you’d like a copy of what’s stored, or you want it deleted, just message your doula and she’ll take care of it.
Connecting Google Calendar
Your doula can choose to connect her own Google Calendar so her personal commitments show up as a simple “busy” shade on her MotherBee calendar — it helps her avoid booking a visit over something else. If she connects it, MotherBee requests read-onlyaccess to her calendar events and nothing more. We read event times and titles only to display that busy overlay in her own view; we don’t copy her events into our database, we never write to or change her Google Calendar, and we never use this data for advertising or share or sell it to anyone. She can disconnect at any time from her Calendar page, which revokes our access and deletes the stored connection. MotherBee’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
A note on scope
MotherBee Care is a personal, doula-run practice — warm and small by design. This portal is a private place for your care, not a medical records system. For anything urgent or clinical, contact your provider or emergency services.
